Now this may not have much to do with Real Estate, but it certainly has alot to do with Miami Beach.

Having my office on Lincoln Rd affords me the luxury of walking out my door and being in the midst of one of the most eclectic and eccentric citys in Florida if not the country. This eccletcism and eccentricity is what helped put Miami Beach where it is today;  sadly we have lost much of this original allure.  Yes times change, and we have changed, gone are the days of my youth when we would come down in the winter months from up north with my famiy and I would dread coming to Miami Beach  because everyone around was old and wrinkled (no offense to anyone please), gone are the days of The Avenue A underground parties, the Warsaw Ballroom, of Granny Feelgoods, Madonna, or Versace. But in there place we have grown, matured and evolved into a modern cosmopolitan city with luxury highrise towers and renovated and restored Art Deco buildings were tourists from around the world come to visit year round, and where businesses and companies say “We need to be on Lincoln Rd”.

Miami Beach has evolved and grown up. It has gone from its infancy stage through addelesence, to its rebelious teens and now into adulthood; and somehow as with people Miami Beach has lost much not all, but much of its innocense and sence of humor.  Why as we grow we loose site of the little things that make us smile or laugh.  Why would we evict Mr. Clucky out of Miami Beach? Whenever I see people that see him for the first time they laugh and smile and you can just tell that he has made them feel good even if only for that brief moment.

I guess my point here is that  Mr. Clucky is a tiny tiny aspect of Miami Beach in the scope of things, but a huge part of that innocense and sence of humor that we need to hold onto as a city and as residents of this city.

If you laughed while reading this or thought back to when you where to young to worry about anything then I have done what I wanted

and please don’t loose that sense of humor or that bit of innocence
